A LAND DIVIDED TRACING THE INVISIBLE LINE
The concept of boundaries, both visible and invisible, is a fascinating aspect of human civilization. These demarcations, often drawn on maps as mere lines, hold significant power and influence over the way we perceive and interact with the world around us. They dictate not just the physical extent of territories, but also embody the historical, cultural, and political narratives that have shaped societies. The act of tracing these lines is not just a cartographic exercise; it is a way of acknowledging and understanding the diverse stories that have converged to form the tapestry of human experience. As we delineate borders, we are not merely segmenting land; we are recognizing the unique identities and histories of the people within those borders. This process of threading together the invisible lines that define our communities is a testament to the complex interplay of geography and identity. It highlights the importance of maps as tools for navigation and as documents of our collective journey through time and space. In essence, the invisible lines that thread through the land are as real and consequential as the tangible roads and rivers that they intersect, shaping the way we live, govern, and relate to each other and to the land itself.
Imagine a site-specific art installation, respectfully mounted on the grass of RiverBrinks inviting green space. Prepared and executed on site. This unique piece is designed as a short-term installation. The installation aims to appear almost invisible yet coalescent in its presence. Crafted with materials that seemingly disappear into the environment, indicating the tangible yet unseen lines that define the land. It invites onlookers to ponder its meaning, engaging the mind in a silent dialogue. Pioneering in its form, offering an experience that pushes the boundaries of art, space, and thought.

My life experience and the art that brings me to this quest……
Imagine an artisan, skilled in the upholstery trade, who has now retired. This artisan has spent years mastering the craft, working diligently with hands that have stitched, stuffed, and sculpted. Now, in retirement, there's a shift from the functional to the fanciful. The artisan designs and develops full-scale interior design objects, each piece a testament to a career's worth of expertise. But beyond the tangible, there's a dream to create projects that are fleeting and ethereal, not for fame or fortune, but purely for the joy of creation. These projects are like whispers of beauty, existing momentarily to delight the senses before dissolving back into the imagination. It's a pursuit of passion, where the value lies in the act of creation itself, and the satisfaction derived from bringing a dream into reality, if only for a brief moment
