I've spent over three decades immersed in the world of upholstery and interior design, building a career out of transforming cherished furniture pieces. From 1979 to 2012, I owned and ran Kathy Thomas Interior Designs, where I specialized in antique furniture restoration and custom design projects. My business offered a full range of upholstery services, from furniture to automotive and even marine applications.

As a self-taught artisan, my expertise in traditional upholstery techniques and antique restoration has been the cornerstone of my success. Now that I'm retired from running my business, I dedicate my time to sharing what I've learned with students at Willowbank, helping to ensure that traditional craftsmanship continues to thrive in the next generation. Alongside teaching, I'm also pursuing my passion for art, building upon the creative skills I honed over decades of design work.
